Excellent episode. There’s plenty of foreshadowing, and then we get to see Mai flowing elegantly at the ball. Unfortunately, the ball was crashed by an invisible force, and Sayuri happened to be in the way. Throwing her aside like a toy, an infuriated Mai pulls out her sword and starts slashing manically.
I know many have already said it, but it’s still true now: this ep kicks so much ass. Without a doubt the most surprising part of Kanon to date, and worth the two weeks of waiting. Let’s hope things stay this interesting, because I’m more in love with this series now than ever before.
